A Message from the Founder:

Welcome! I'm Lindsay, the founder of Trashy-to-Flashy.  I am a mother, the wife to an amazing husband, a full time nursing student, a caregiver, a maid, a chef, a chauffeur, you name it, I do it, and depending on what time of the day it is I wear the most appropriate title with pride.  If you need me, I can usually be found climbing Mount Laundry, running to the store to get the grocery items I forgot, or searching for either the coffee cup I misplaced or the hidden Sippy cups under the furniture.  I have one daughter, Tara who is sparkly and adventurous; she's two-and-a-half and everything it implies.  Having my daughter was the best thing to ever happen to me, not only does she make my life complete, she has made me much more money savvy, but also brought out my creativity which is how this all started.

When I was pregnant we had purchased a used nursery set.  The price was unbeatable, $300 for a set that costs upwards of $1,500 new, but there was one problem, the color was much to be desired in my eyes.  It did its job while she was an infant, but as she grew older the color was more and more undesirable, and that’s when I got creative.  I headed to the Home Depot and bought supplies to refinish one piece at a time and since then, I am obsessed with turning all old things trashy into new and flashy (with saving money along the way to boot).    At the end of the day, who doesn't like to save money?

Trashy-to-Flashy, a furniture refinishing business  is located in Danville, Pennsylvania where we serve the local Danville community and surrounding areas. We have also partnered with local artists to provide even more items expanding our inventory into new things such as clothing and accessories.  Our philosophy here at Trashy-to-Flashy is that no item is ever too old and trashy to be turned into new and flashy, which helps reduce our waste in growing landfills.
